This beautifully restored turn of the century mansion in Oranjestad was a wedding gift from a member of one of Aruba’s first families to his beloved bride. Only here is where civil ceremonies are performed with signing of the official certificate after submitting paperwork.

Caquetío Indian rock paintings adorn nearby Fontein Cave. Openings in the roof of Quadiriki Cave let in sunlight. An old adobe house at Cunucu Arikok recalls Aruba’s farming past. Jamanota and Arikok hilltops offer sweeping island views.

8. Casibari Rock Formation Aruba
This rock formation is are clusters of huge tonality rocks sit together in an area just north of Hooiberg. This rock formation, unique to the more typical features of the area, inexplicably rises up from the desert soil to create an unusual setting. Some of the rocks weigh several tons and feature peculiar forms.
