“Rich Dad Poor Dad”
As I said before, I will be posting personal stuff on my blog. So here’s another one.
Recently I started to read this amazing book, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
I couldn’t put it down and I loved it! Written flawlessly, mixed with real life examples that blew me away completely.
According to Robert, children spend years in an antiquated educations system, studying subjects they will never use, preparing for a world that no longer exists. Good grades no longer ensures success, and nobody seems to have noticed, except our children.
This book is not just about money. It’s about how we are taught to think; how we are programmed by schools, family, and friends to look at the rich as greedy and opportunities as risks. It is an attempt to reprogram minds to look at why we do what we do.. why do we buy all these shoes, clothes, cars, jewelry.. have we earned it or are we just trying to maintain an image?
In school we learn that mistakes are bad, and we are punished for making them. Yet, if you look at the way humans are designed to learn, we learn by making mistakes. We learn to walk by falling down. If we never fell down, we would never walk.
And just for the record, this is me enjoying Rich Dad Poor Dad in this 90 degree weather.
