3 Must-Have Personal Branding Photos
Planning a personal branding photoshoot can be overwhelming. Primarily, you want to have a bank of on-brand images that represents your business. At the same time, you want to make sure you have varieties of photos, both vertical and horizontal, to use in different ways.
While having a list of types of photos is vital, (I like the idea of batching content), you’d definitely want to focus on the photos that are going to help you build that personal connection with your audience. When planning your personal branding photoshoot, consider these next three must-have photos.
Headshot of who you are
Your audience want to see the real you. I hate when I see photos of small business where they put their logo as their profile picture – it feels so weird and I have no idea how to interact with those pages. But not you, you’re going to plan some time to take some creative headshots to showcase exactly who’s the person behind the business.
Details photos
The whole point of a personal branding photoshoot is to showcase your expertise. As a photographer, I can use my camera as a prop. But, I can also use my laptop or my phone as I create Instagram stories for my audience. This way, I can talk about my business online and showcase a behind-the-scenes of what makes my business unique.
Behind-the-scenes of you doing what you do best
This is definitely my favourite! The whole point of social media is to be start conversations and talk about your expertise. Having behind-the-scenes photos of you in action is the best way to start conversations around the things that you sell. These photos will help you build that know, like and trust factor online.
Now it’s your turn, create a list of the props you’re going to use during your personal branding photoshoot and also some ideas on how to showcase a behind-the-scenes look of your business.
