But, how many times have you seen people with more than 10K followers but are NOT getting any engagement, let alone making any sales?

How many times have you seen people BUYING followers because they think that having more followers means making more sales?

Let me ask you something: Do you buy from someone that has a lot of followers? Or, let me rephrase that: Do you buy from someone BECAUSE they have a lot of followers?

Probably not, right? 

So, if we know that followers are NOT the main reason people are buying. Then the proof is there. You don’t need a lot of followers to grow a successful business online.

3 Things You Can Do Today To Level Up Your Instagram Game 🔥

Today, I’m going to give you 3 things that you can do TODAY that will level up the way you show up on social media. 

Update your Instagram Bio

  • Have a profile picture of yourself (No logo!)
  • Tell me what you do like I’m 5 years old
  • Leverage the exit link

Create a story and introduce yourself to your audience

You probably have a lot of followers that have no idea who you are. Maybe they followed you recently but haven’t really connected with you. This is the perfect opportunity to introduce yourself to those new followers. 

Grab your phone, open up Instagram and start recording an Instagram Story and tell your followers who you are and what you do. When doing this try being creative and, again, a bit strategic. 

Here are 3 steps you can follow to have a KILLER story:

  1. Start by grabbing their attention
  2. Tell them WHY you are doing this story and actually introduce yourself
  3. End with a Call to Action (CTA).

This can be as simple as:

“Good morning beautiful people! As I’m having my morning coffee, I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to all of you who have recently started to follow me. My name is Steven de Cuba, I’m a photographer and I help busy creatives build a personal brand on social media so that they can make a living from their passion. How about you? Reply to this story and let me know who you are and what you! I’d love to connect.”

Go live and talk about a pain point of your target audience

Now, I want you to be cautious when going live. I always like to PREPARE before going live. Have atleast an agenda and know what you’re going to be talking about. I don’t want you to go live and start by saying “uuhh, let me fix this light, wait, let me do this first, hello, hey…”

NO WAY!

If you want to grab your follower’s attention and actually have them stay live with you, you have to do the work! Plan in advance and know exactly what you’re going to talk about when going live.

Here are 3 topics ideas for your first Instagram live:

  1. Share your story with your audience
  2. Talk about the number one question your clients ask you the most.
  3. Do a Q&A session and let your audience lead the conversation.
