3 Things You Should NOT Do When Planning Your Engagement Session
Planning an engagement session might be something you may overthink. You definitely want to have a location that reflects the love between you two, you want to look stunning on your photos and you also would like to find the right person to document this new phase in your life. Here are 3 things you should avoid when planning your engagement session.
Don’t look for poses – act natural.
I know how tempting it can be to pin different poses on Pinterest. I always advise my clients to ignore the camera and don’t feel like you have to be smiling all the way through the shoot. Just be yourself and you will automatically act natural.
Don’t choose the park next to your house
Take some time when choosing the right location for your photos. You definitely want to skip the nearest park to your house. Think BIG when choosing your location. What do you really love to do as a couple and what places reflect that?
Are you the type of snuggling on the couch and binge-watch Netflix? Maybe a home session would suit you best. Are you an adventurous soul who likes to hike during the weekends? Take your photos on a mountain!
Seriously, there’s no limit when choosing your location!
Don’t book your sister’s photographer
Taking your engagement photos should be a FUN EXPERIENCE! You definitely want a photographer who’s matching personalities and would do ANYTHING for the right photo, amiright?! Take some time and find the right photographer that resonate with what YOU want.
When planning your engagement session, you definitely want to have fun, create your first family heirloom and reflect your love to each other. Avoid these mistakes and I promise you, you will have so much fun at your engagement session!
